Jim James of My Morning Jacket rock could be more entertaining space cowboy.

Wearing a heavy foam, black for most of the night in Philadelphia Mann Center Tuesday, James release, cementing their credibility as leader of one of the most dynamic live rock there.

Sure, there have been many and headbanging psychedelic antics – at one point he announced that we were all “blessed life”, which seems a reference to the earthquake felt in the area earlier in the day. Then he said the site of the fair, the Mann Center in Fairmount Park, “feels like a fun trip.” (He was not far behind the choice of the amount of marijuana and nitrous oxide to be ingested by the tailgaters.)

And yes, the giant head of hair flying through the air while he was out in his cloak, so that its outline is more like a teddy bear wearing a poncho a few feet away on stage.

A seemingly revitalized James also destroyed many of the choreographed dance moves, some of which resembled the robot as he slid across the stage, often with a white towel over his head. (Hey, coatings giants can do to warm up a cool summer night.

James is right next to the rest of My Morning Jacket, who released the live versions of songs from her new album, “circuital” with an encore run through the “holding” in the Black Metal, “clearly number of fan favorites. The sexy female voice anchors pre-recorded songs and the little red devil head fell on the video screens above each time it is time to sing.

Not the only female voice heard within 2-1/2 hours of the series. As James was carried out at an earlier date during the tour, the opening act for New Pornographers Neko Case appeared on stage for a duet. This time, he came with his whole band and gave the bottle of liquor to celebrate, as it was their last show on this tour.

Together, they displayed a strong and welcome-1981 version of “My Stop Draggin ‘Heart Around” by Stevie Nicks and Tom Petty.

But that’s the icing on the cake. A mixture of rock, funk, soul and country packed in set of 25 songs is top notch the band exhibits a jam again, bravest of tissue in its catalog, led by guitar wizard Carl Broemel.

While sweeping the band jams and rhythms that made monstrous favorite indie rock band and fans filled the mid tap dancing all groovy funk-based songs where the band is actually said, leaning on James Love love genres. “You can not touch me I’ll scream, Part 2″ Bled shortens the B-side “Viper”, rescued from the “Chocolate and Ice” EP, 2002, the release of the band will tour the band when they played shows a pair of balloons Old Stone in Newark this year.

Sure, the band has exploded in popularity since then, moving to a more experimental rock song of the softest, rustic sound that dominated their first job. But for fans, is a trip well worth it – as Tuesday night drive Mann.
